DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN QUITO & CONTINUE TO COCA
Transfer to the airport for your flight over the Eastern Andes, to the Amazon Basin near the Napo River. The 2-hour cruise in a covered motorised canoe will take you along the largest Ecuadorian tributary of the Amazon, where you will see many birds including herons, kingfishers and ospreys.
On the northwest boundary of the Yasuni Biosphere Reserve, you will take a guided 2-3 km walk or a dugout canoe ride. As the journey takes you deeper into the Amazon, you will be delighted by the increasing presence of exotic plants, birds and animals.
You will stay at the Napo Wildlife Centre Amazon Lodge that was designed to offer maximum privacy and comfort to discerning world travellers while simultaneously respecting the delicate Amazonian ecosystem. Although built in the traditional native architecture, the lodge offers modern amenities and space to see the fabulous animals and birds. Look out for giant otters, black caimans, howler monkeys and blue macaws.
The restaurant prepares a variety of international and traditional Ecuadorian dishes, and caters for vegetarian or special meal requirements. Water is safe to drink and there is a well equipped bar.
DAY 2 – 4 NAPO WILDLIFE CENTRE AMAZON LODGE
This base, deep within the most pristine tropical rainforest in Ecuador, is perfect for nature exploration. Your guide will schedule your outings before dawn or at sunrise. This will maximize wildlife observation and of course each group will decide with their guides how extreme and intense they take their Amazon experience. This includes afternoon excursions and night outings, when an overwhelming concert of natural sounds will flood the atmosphere.

DAY 5 RETURN TO QUITO
After 4 days of adventure you will return to Quito and will be provided with a transfer back to your hotel in Quito or to the International Airport.
