Day 1: Arrive Rio de Janeiro
On arrival at Rio Airport you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel for a three-night stay.

Day 2: Corcovado & Sugar Loaf Mountain Tour
Rio cries out to be explored and the Corcovado and Sugar Loaf tour is a good starting point. This morning, travel by train through the lush Tijuca Forest to reach the top of Corcovado. Here you will get up close to the aweinspiring Statue of Christ, towering over the amazing city of Rio. After a delicious lunch, travel to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain by cable car. The view from here is unbeatable; marvel at the sight of countless bays and Rio’s curvaceous coastline. (BL)
Day 3: Day at Leisure & Rio by Night
Today is yours to enjoy as you wish. Rio is famous for its golden beaches; enjoy the sea breeze and soak up the sun. Perhaps you may like to wander around old Rio, the place where it all began, or discover great shopping in Ipanema. After dark Rio comes alive. This evening, you will be collected from your hotel to watch a spectacular Samba show, with elaborately costumed dancers and singers presenting Brazil’s folklore and capturing the rhythms of Carnival. Day 4: Rio – Iguassú Falls
After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your flight (not included) to Iguassú. There you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel for a two-night stay. Later this afternoon discover the Brazilian side of the world’s largest waterfalls, set deep within stunning tropical forest. (B)

Day 5: Iguassú Falls – Argentine Side
After breakfast you will be collected for a morning tour which takes you across the border into the heart of the Argentine national park. The views along the footpaths are magnificent! The platform allows direct access to the misty falls, a truly breathtaking experience. The falls from Argentina offer a completely different experience to the Brazilian side, both must be seen to be fully appreciated. (B)
Day 6: Iguassú Falls – Manaus
If you opt to take the afternoon flight, today there will be time for an unforgettable helicopter ride over the spectacular roaring falls. Later, transfer to the airport for your flight (not included) via Sao Paulo to Manaus, gateway to the Amazon. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. (B)

Day 7: Manaus – The Amazon
Depart Manaus at 1.30pm for your 30-minute boat ride downriver to the unique Amazon Eco Park Lodge (see info page 35). This afternoon visit the Monkey Rehabilitation Centre, where it is possible to take pictures of rare monkeys. After dinner this evening, go in search of alligators with your expert guide. (BLD)

Day 8: The Amazon
After breakfast, enjoy a hike with your guide who will lead you through the jungle and explain the amazing flora and fauna that surrounds you. Visit a 'Caboclo' dwelling to learn about the customs and way of life of the local Amazonian residents. (BLD)
Day 9: The Amazon
Today, travel into the Amazon to visit the phenomenon of the 'Meeting of the Waters' at the confluence of the Rio Negro and the Rio Solimões, a remarkable sight not to be missed. Try your hand at fishing; if you’re lucky you may catch local fish such as tucunare, tambaqui and even the voracious piranha! Return to the lodge for your evening meal. (BLD)
Day 10: The Amazon – Depart Manaus
In the late morning, return to Manaus by boat arriving at the airport by approx. 12.30pm. (B)
