Indian Tiger Safari
The Royal Bengal Tiger once roamed freely in central India but its domain is now constricted to two adjoining national parks; namely Bandhavgarh and Kanha. Both of these national parks still retain unspoilt natural habitat for a variety of wildlife. These include gaur (Indian bison), sloth bear, leopard, porcupine, wild boar, sambhar and spotted deer, among others and of course, the Tiger. With the highest density of tiger population, Bandhavgarh and Kanha are one of the best national parks to see the tiger in its natural surroundings.
UNLEASH YOUR MOJO: SEARCHING FOR TIGERS IN THE JUNGLES OF CENTRAL INDIA.
This Tiger Safari tour takes you to the tiger country in Madhya Pradesh that harbours nine tiger reserves in the country, when Project Tiger was launched way back in the early seventies.
The forests of Bandhavgarh were the hunting reserve of the royal family of Rewa. It is where the white tigers of Rewa were discovered. There are good chances of seeing a tiger here. Other attractions include, Nilgai, Chausingha, Chital, Chinkara and Wild Boar. We will stay at the comfortable Kings lodge, located in the heart of wild country.
The Kanha National Park with rolling grasslands, meandering streams and bamboo forests provides a perfect habitat for the wildlife and inspiration to photographers, naturalists and writers like Rudyard Kipling, who fascinated by the scenery wrote his famous novel the "Jungle Book”.
The animals at Kanha are best observed from elephant back & jeeps. Deer are seen along the maidens and gaur in the Mukki range. We will stay in the rustic yet deluxe resort built mainly with local material. There is a variety of deer, the barasingha, spotted deer, nilgai, Indian bison and wild pig, a perfect 'tiger country'.
