After a comprehensive tour of Kathmandu, transfer to the Royal Chitwan National Park for two nights. Once a hunting ground for aristocrats, the park is now a protected area, and you have the chance to spot one-horned rhino, leopard, deer, sloth bear, and perhaps even the elusive Bengal tiger, all while riding high atop an elephant's back.

Next visit Pokhara, a quiet lakeside town with magnificent views of the Machhapuchare “Fish tail mountain”. It is the trekkers Mecca from where more than a dozen treks start including the most famous like the Jomsom and the Annapurna Circuit. Explore the town to get inspired by the trekkers enthusiasm or take a quiet walk on the adjoining hills to absorb yourself in the blissful beauty of nature.

Finally, we take the trek north to the trans-Himalayan town of Jomsom. Located on the banks of Kali Gandaki where the river opens up on the Tibetan plateau offering grand vistas of the high mountain peaks of Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri ranges. We fly back to Kathmandu for a well deserved rest and last minute shopping before departure.

The tour ends with 2 nights in Kathmandu, where with your private guide you will explore the spectacular temples and stupas, the religious sites for Buddhists and Hindus. Visit surrounding towns to appreciate the Newari architecture and craftsmanship. Take an (optional) early morning flight to view the majestic peaks of Mt. Everest, Makalu and other mountains – a once in a lifetime experience.

Max your Awim Rafting down the Trisuli River. Transfer to the rafting starting point en route to Chitwan National Park. After we collect our gear, there will be a safety briefing by the river guide. Then, we float down the river encountering medium class rapids from grades 2 to 5. We will pass through a beautiful canyon with Sal forest on both sides of the river before our rafting terminates at Mugling from where we drive to Chitwan.

Getting There

Kathmandu has an international airport and is easily accessed via flights with Jet Airways, Qatar Airways, Emirates and Lufthansa. On arrival you can exchange your money at a bank just before immigration. Nearby is the visa counter where you can pay for your visa if you haven't got one already. While departing, for an international flight check-in at least two hours before departure, if not earlier as the counter gets busy during high season.
