Begin in Kathmandu, located in the foothills of the Himalayas. The Kathmandu Valley comprises the three ancient cities of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur, which were once independent states ruled by the Malla kings from the 12th to the 18th centuries. With your expert private guide and driver, explore the best of Kathmandu as well as the most interesting towns in the surrounding valley – Patan and Bhaktapur.

Explore the city’s atmospheric streets, lined with boutiques selling jewellery, prayer wheels, Buddhist thangkas and more. See spectacular squares featuring traditional architecture. Visit Hindu temples, with its erotic carvings and assortment of marigold sellers, and Shiva Parvati, where a likeness of the god and his consort peer down over the square. Also enjoy excursions to the much-photographed Buddhist temples at Boudhanath and Swayambhunath, with their massive white stupas and fluttering prayer flags. One day, if desired, take a private fixed-wing scenic flight to view Mount Everest.

Continue to Pokhara, the starting destination for the Annapurna Circuit trek. Surrounded by beautiful snow –capped mountains and a magnificent lake of crystal –clear Himalayan water, Pokhara is a serene hill town with fascinating views of the Annapurna range including the fish tail peak of Machapuchare.

Fly to Kathmandu and private transfer to the mountain town of Dhulikhel, a beautifully preserved Newari town. Stay at Dwarika’s Resort Dhulikhel, a holistic resort and spa with breathtaking views of the valley below and the snow-capped Himalayas in the distance. The best way to enjoy Dhulikel is exploring on foot. Explore the Old town with your private guide to understand this ancient Hindu city, whose planning doctrine was based on position, shape, scale & dominance. In the morning wake up to panoramic vistas of the snow-capped central Himalaya in contrast to the temperate and lush valley below.
