Caribbean
The weather in Caribbean, including Cuba, can produce very frightening and devastating hurricanes, but the good news is that they have quite a specific season. Hurricane season officially runs from the beginning of June through the end of November, although many islanders will tell you it's really the three month period from August through October.
This is a beautiful part of the world and the best time to go is in the winter, December to April. Of course this also tends to be the most expensive time to go and some travellers may opt for the ‘shoulder periods’; mid-November to mid-December, then April to June.
These off-peak but generally safe periods can offer a good balance between nice weather and value.
