Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp

OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA

The Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp is known for its elegant tents with breathtaking views of the Okavango Delta. Set on the edge of the remote Okavango Delta, this rustic camp boasts just nine tents with a maximum of only eighteen guests staying here at one time. Tucked under a canopy of massive ebony trees on dry land and close to Okavango floodplains, Nxabega Camp offers both 4x4 safari vehicle and traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) activities.

The main Nxabega Camp is carefully designed to balance the surrounding nature with modern interiors. Made from local timber, reed and thatch, the guest areas include indoor and outdoor dining areas, a Safari Shop and a swimming pool with a grand deck overlooking the bush. From this elevated platform, guests are able to appreciate the exquisite beauty of the Okavango Delta.

Meaning ‘Place of Giraffe’, Nxabega Tented Camp lies in an exclusive concession near permanent water channels, providing consistent year-round water and land based game viewing. However, Nxabega is best visited during Botswana's green season, when game is generally less easily seen everywhere across the Delta. During this time Nxabega comes alive with a relatively good choice of game viewing, using the wide-open channels of the Delta spread in front of the camp.
