Day 01 – Arrive South Africa
Cape Town On arrival in Cape Town take a private transfer to your hotel where you stay for three nights. This afternoon, you could take the shuttle bus service to the bustling Victoria and Alfred Waterfront entertainment district, and spend some time exploring on your own.

Day 02 – City Tour
Cape Town Cape Town – or The Mother City, as its warmly known – is recognized as one of the world’s most strikingly beautiful cities, and for visitors, there’s no finer place to examine the exquisite lay of the land than from the cable car as you travel right up to the very top of aptly-named Table Mountain. The views from on high are breathtaking.

Day 03 – The Surrounds
Cape Town This morning, tour the Cape Peninsula, an area of scenic beauty. Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard to Hout Bay, and continue through the leafy suburb of Constantia. Visit the Cape Point Nature Reserve, and ride the funicular to the viewpoint of the meeting place of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. From Cape Point, travel to the naval town of Simonstown for lunch (not included) at Seaforth, and then visit ostrich farm and Boulders Beach to see resident African Penguins.

Getting There Johannesburg with its O.R. Tambo International Airport is the air transport hub of Southern Africa and is linked to the rest of the world by major airlines. Other international airports are located in Cape Town and Durban, but few flights from Europe or America fly directly to either destination. There is a good network of internal flights.

Travelling around South Africa is mostly by car and a good range of car rental companies are available. The road system is amongst the best in Africa. However, travelling off the beaten track to the national parks is virtually impossible by public transport. This is mostly organised by local tour operators.

When to go The best time to visit Kruger and most wildlife parks in South Africa is from May to September. This is the dry season and animals congregate around waterholes and rivers. The climate of South Africa is generally mild throughout the country with warm, sunny days and cool nights. There's really not a bad time to visit, but winter is a good time (especially October) if you are going for a safari – grass is short, and the animals tend to gather around watering holes.

In winter, due to altitude, temperatures drop to the freezing point, and in places even lower. Snow is a possibility June-August in the mountain areas. It generally rains in the afternoon during the summer (November-February) everywhere in the country except in the Cape Province, where it rains during the winter.
