Day 1 – Arrive
Kathmandu Meet and greet on arrival. After a warm reception, our representative will escort you to your hotel for 2 nights stay.
The origin of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, has seen an interesting past. From a wooden rest house on the Indo-Tibet trade route it became a hippy destination and the next two decades, a starting point for trekkers and mountaineers. In recent times, it has become a destination for the rich who also wish to have a glimpse of the Himalayas. They travel by helicopter, car and foot but with one ultimate aim; to see the unrivalled beauty of the Himalayas.

Day 2 – Tour
Kathmandu Begin your private tour with a visit of Kathmandu city and the surrounding areas. There are shrines to both Buddhism and Hinduism at almost every corner but the one to see is Swayambhunath, holy for the Hindus and frequented by freely roaming holy monkeys. If time permits you can chose to visit Pashupatinath temple on the banks of the Bagmati River, the famous Shiva temple of Hindus and the Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath, a holy structure with eyes that watch over Kathmandu.
In the afternoon, visit Patan, one of 3 royal cities in the valley. A destination for connoisseurs of fine arts, Patan is filled with wood and stone carvings, metal statues, ornate architecture, including dozens of Buddhist and Hindu temples, and over 1200 monuments. It is good to see these places but if you really want to get a feeling for the place, then take your time and walk through Thamel Street and observe everyday life. It provides a better understanding of the local people and their culture.

Make this your holiday
Getting There Kathmandu has an international airport and is easily accessed via flights with Jet Airways, Qatar Airways, Emirates and Lufthansa. On arrival, you can exchange your money at a bank just before immigration. Nearby is the visa counter where you can pay for your visa if you haven't got one already. While departing, for an international flight check-in at least two hours before departure, if not earlier as the counter gets busy during high season.
When to go Nepal like the rest of the Gangetic plains has four seasons. The winter in the Himalayas is cold but beginning February, the weather gets warmer and trekkers find forests full of rhododendrons and other flowers in bloom. The heat wave runs through May until the monsoon finally arrives in mid-June. But in September, when the rains stop, the weather is balmy, the air is crisp and the sky is clear; it is the most perfect time to visit Nepal. Visitors, trekkers and mountaineers are rewarded with gorgeous uninterrupted views of the high Himalayas.
