Kwetsani Camp is located in the Jao Concession area against the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve. It lies north-west of the Okavango Delta, Botswana, below the Panhandle. Kwetsani Camp has five beautifully furnished ‘tree-house’ chalets, each with its own en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower. Accommodation is in thatch, wood, glass and canvas on an elevated platform and connected with wooden walkways.
Major game attractions around the Kwetsani Camp include lion, leopard, wild dog, cheetah, tsessebe and red lechwe. In addition, hippo, sitatunga antelope and crocodile reside in the deeper, permanently lily-filled lagoons of the area. Nocturnal animals such as porcupine, aardwolf, serval, large spotted genet and lesser bush baby can be observed on the night drives (water levels permitting).
Kwetsani offers excellent land and water activities dependent on annual flood levels. Guests can view wildlife by mokoro or experience outstanding game drives. During times of high water levels, Kwetsani boats to Hunda Island for game drives. There are also two platform game viewing hides in the concession.

Stay Kwetsani Camp is a Classic Safari Camp with 5 luxurious tents with a capacity for 10 guests. There are five tents, consisting of four twin bedded tents and one king size bedded tent. There is one guide tent which is the same as a standard guest tent. Each 'tree-house' chalets, with en-suite bathrooms, are open, airy accommodation of thatch, wood, glass and canvas.
The Camp The main area includes a dining room and lounge area situated under a cool thatched roof, and leads onto an expansive wooden deck that looks out over an enormous floodplain often dotted with plains game. A walkway leads to a plunge pool with loungers – a perfect spot to relax at midday. Guests can watch the animals from the comfort of the pool or the privacy of their rooms.
ChildCare Children of 18 years and above are welcome to stay at the Kwetsani Camp and partake in daily activities.

Land game drives are in open 4x4 Land Rovers and Mokoro (a traditional dug-out canoe) takes 5 x 2-seaters.
Experience The true wetland areas of the Okavango Delta are best known for their birdlife. The largest concentrations of endangered Wattled Crane are found in this area and Slaty Egrets, Rosy-throated Longclaws and African Skimmer are some of the specials that can be seen. Fishing with a limited supply of basic equipment is on offer seasonally - catch and release basis. There is a raised hide located 20 minutes from camp.
Location Kwetsani Camp is located in the Jao Concession reserve against the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve in the north-western area of the Okavango Delta. To the north, on the same floodplain system, Jao Camp is surrounded by beautiful islands fringed by riverine forests.
Getting There Maun is the gateway to the Okavango Delta and is accessed by a short 35 min flight on a light aircraft. From Maun there is a short 30-minutes flight to get to the Nxabega airstrip. A Nxabega representative will greet and transfer you on an open safari vehicle, on a short 15–minute drive to the Nxabega Camp. Please note, light aircraft transfers have 15kg luggage restrictions in soft, squashable bags.
When to go Botswana’s winter months from May to October are dry and cool with chilly nights. This is also its high season. Botswana has hot, wet summers from October to April. Botswana has one rainy season which runs between December and February, sometimes continuing into March, with rain generally in the form of afternoon thundershowers. Best time to travel is all year round. There is great fishing from March to December, with catches of tiger fish, bream, catfish and tilapia.
